Learn Live with Holistic Repro Project
Holistic Repro Project exists to build a world based in community power and autonomy where every person can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and has access to a plethora of choices, methods and models for their pregnancies, abortions, and fertility without stigmatization or criminalization.
Our virtual classes strive to bring us to that world by creating informed and heart-felt spaces for holistic reproductive health, including and specializing in all types of abortions.
UPCOMING CLASSES
October - December at 2pm PT
Multi-Session Class
Three plants in three moons: Black Cohosh, Cotton, & Angelica
Plants, like people, are asking us to show up in right relationship with them. To recognize our part inside of nature and its cycles, to move slow and build trust knowing we take care of one another. This class is an opportunity to build with herbs classically used as abortifacients.

This 1.5 hour long class will share rituals that could be useful while going through a release (abortion or miscarriage) ranging from: connecting with plants, baby spirit, elements, prayer and intention. This class could be beneficial for individuals planning a release or for abortion doulas, supporters, and activists acknowledging the spiritual side of release work. This class will include a personal release story share that combines these rituals and ceremonies. Registration closes on December 2.
December 4 at 2pm PT
December 8 at 2pm PT
This 1.5 hour long class is a participatory herbal workshop on taking care of ourselves and each other, when our work is care. For all those who give care, paid and unpaid. We’ll explore herbal allies, nourishment practices for inward listening, simple embodiment practices, and rituals for sustaining our energy for the long haul. Let’s spend 1.5 hours together, nourishing ourselves and receiving as much as we give. Because in these times we need you; we need your care; we need you to be cared for. Registration closes on December 6.
Student Testimonials
"I am a student midwife, and I am SO pumped to have found your page. Thanks for fighting for reproductive freedoms, educating on our horrific history, and fighting for equity within the us."
“Change and growth starts with you, me, and a conversation and being active in your learning and truth. These classes will teach you so much about your body and the connections we need to rebuild with ourselves and communities. The slides are so beautiful and the energy and knowledge is so tender and empowering! This is the kind of connections and care we need to share and relearn together!”
“I didn't know what to expect… but left with my expectations far exceeded and my heart full. It is a class that doesn't offer rote information, but rather an embodied inquiry that shifts the frameworks we use to work with herbs generally, and pregnancy termination more specifically. The storytelling format along with numerous breakout sessions create a refreshingly connective online experience, and I left the class with a vision of what my own contribution to the movement can look like as part of a greater effort of community care.”
It felt very special to grow a wider web of community from around the country (and world) who are dedicated to keeping abortion safe, accessible and destigmatized. This course is truly holistic in connecting the facts to the feelings.

What to Expect in Our Classes
-
While evidence-based protocols coming from peer-reviewed research plays an important role in building best practices and medical care models, there are serious shortcomings to relying exclusively on their materials. They often exclude the collective knowledge held by marginalized groups without the access or ability to create large bodies of research. Plant medicine, especially when applied to pregnancy, is inherently hard research to get approved, funded and carried out. Our materials and trainings uplift and value many types of knowledge: research, stories, embodied from all types of professionals and experts.
-
As clinically trained herbalists, many will attest to the lack of education around abortion and miscarriage within herbal certification programs, despite 1 out of 3 people with the capacity to become pregnant will have a pregnancy that ends in termination. Additionally, many birthworking professionals (from doulas to midwives to clinicians) get no education on herbal medicine. Healthcare for most people is a combination of allopathic and more traditional, or alternative methods. Trainings from Holistic focus on bridging these knowledge gaps for people working within reproductive healthcare structures.
-
Classes distill ancestral knowledge, current research, and evidence-based protocols into introductory classes and resources meant to teach the general population. Our goal is to provide accurate, well organized and easy to understand education to help practitioners, individuals and collectives to increase their bodily autonomy and community resiliency.
-
People leading workshops through Holistic Repro Project have varying levels of clinical experience, community training, and actual lived experience. We know how to center and care for people getting abortions because we get or have had abortions.
We are not doctors or lawyers (except when we feature those who explicitly say they are!)
We are not giving medical or legal advice. Courses and training materials are to educate people, so they can make informed decisions about their bodies and their reproductive health.
